A message from our President, Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal

“Riding for Disabled Association is a national charity with an international reputation, renowned for the ‘can do’ attitude that inspires thousands of disabled people to achieve their goals.

As President, I am privileged to see first-hand the life-changing impact of RDA’s work. Riders and carriage drivers benefit not just from the immediate joy of being with horses, but also from real and long lasting therapeutic change. Achievement is recognised in all its forms, from improvements in physical movement or communication to podium places at the Paralympics.

RDA’s participants are an inspiration the world over and we have much to be proud of, but there is always more that can be done — and more people who could benefit. I hope you will feel able to join me in supporting RDA, by becoming a member of our President’s Club.”

On top of our annual running costs we have launched a project to create a National Training Centre and we need to raise £1.2million to make it happen. Located in the very heart of Britain, on the site of an existing and much loved RDA centre, the National Training Centre at Lowlands in Shrewley, Warwickshire, will be an aspirational venue in which to bring together, train and inspire RDA volunteers and coaches from around the UK. Our coaches need to be able to access the very best training we can offer and the new centre will have the facilities, expertise and support staff to ensure this happens. Great coaches have the ability to unlock talent; to turn aspirations into reality and to see the potential in everyone. Becoming a member of the President’s Club will help us achieve this target and allows us to continue to provide more life changing experiences all over the UK. For more information about the project please visit the dedicated web page – http://www.rda.org.uk/about-rda/national-training-centre/
