Meet Isabella

Teenager Isabella has grown in confidence and independence since starting horse riding at Beechley Stables RDA in Liverpool.

Isabella has a rare disorder called Oliver MacFarlane Syndrome, which means she is severely sight impaired. Unable to take part in PE and other activities with her friends, RDA gives Isabella a way to keep active and to socialise. While mum Alex used to stay close by, these days Isabella prefers to spend time on the yard with her friends. She has even found the confidence and skill to compete – coming 3rd in her class at RDA’s National Championships.

Her group said: “Isabella is an inspiration to everybody at Beechley. It is a pleasure to know her and be part of the incredible journey RDA has given her.”
