Volunteer Management

Recruiting Volunteers

Compared to other national charities, having 19,000 volunteers is an extraordinary achievement, but within RDA we all know it’s not enough.

Among Groups finding and recruiting volunteers is a constant challenge.

Welcoming Volunteers

Making sure new volunteers feel welcome is important.  Volunteers who receive a warm welcome are more likely to stay and make a valuable contribution to RDA in the future.

Supporting Volunteers

Supporting volunteers  is about ensuring everyone is  happy and motivated in their role.  Through regular communication volunteers will feel valued and have the opportunity to provide feedback and let you know how they are feeling.

Recognising Volunteers

Many volunteers put in a great deal of time and effort to make RDA possible and it’s important to say thank you. There are many ways to recognise and reward the achievement of volunteers, both within your Group and at a national level.
