Volunteering with RDA
What Our Volunteers Say

Ed says “the personal rewards are absolutely phenomenal, but unless you are in it, you can’t understand it”

Christina and her parents feel that RDA offers families much more than just riding. Strong friendships have been forged over the years and people mix and get on with each other regardless of age or ability, whether they are involved in the ‘hands on’ work with the horses or whether they just want to help others.

“I now help at the RDA Group that started Cameron on his journey into being a wonderful person, every time I see a child’s face light up at the magic words “walk on” I remember what RDA has done for my boy, and what it continues to do”

What does being an RDA Coach mean to Diane? “It’s really fulfilling, doing what I always wanted to do. Seeing riders make progress is very rewarding, knowing you are making a difference to their lives. Every small step is an achievement”

RDA has broadened my horizons. I’ve done more than I ever imagined, met so many people, made friends, visited places….”
