Ways to Volunteer

Getting started

All RDA Volunteers complete an enrolment form, undergo basic training and those who are actively involved in sessions must complete a disclosure check. All this is handled through the group you choose to volunteer with.

The majority of volunteering roles at RDA involve contact with horses: grooming and tacking up, leading and side-walking, mucking out etc. Our groups also need help with other areas such as fundraising, publicity, accounts and general maintenance.

Why not talk to your local RDA group about how you can help?

Volunteering for RDA UK

As well as volunteering for a specific RDA Group, there are regular volunteering roles available at national level, either in our offices based in Warwickshire or in one of our 18 Regions across the UK. We also need volunteers for events throughout the year. Contact Matthew Cobble on 01926 405 966 mcobble@rda.org.uk for more information.

Volunteering for an RDA Group

Why not look at our Volunteering Opportunities page to see if there is anything in your area. Remember that if nothing is suitable, it is still worth contacting your local Group too see if they need more volunteers.
